SDL is a league of warriors battling in duels to prove who is the best. But what sets SDL apart from other tournaments and leagues are the brand name companies that sponsor the warriors. Since a company can be as wealthy and influencial to sponsor multiple samurais or warriors, it is only logical to make a team bearing the companies colors and enblems.

We offer all of you the opportunity to make your own fictitious (even parody) companies and make a team out of it.

BRANDS

Making the Company
First make a brand name company that you like or prefer. It will be advantagous to actually create your company with the intention of making actual products to sell. We will announce a section of SDL specific for company products to be showcased and used by other SDL duelers.

Making a Product
New this year is product creation. If you have a product idea that you think any dueler would want to use, weapon, food, apparel, accerssory or services for that matter, you can now create a profile that people can see and let thier OC draw.

Once you've created your product line, you can now look for SDL shops and try to convince them to carry or "sell" your product. SDL shops carry your product by showing them in thier gallery. See the list of shops here [link]

We will reward any SDL member who makes a product line with one rankup per product line. But, members without SDL teams are only allowed to make 2 products. If you want to make more than 2 products, you must find a team to be a member of or create your own team. This way, we give out both 1 personal rankup and 1 team rankup. Note also that we will only give out the rewards once one of our shops carry your products. Visit the shop here.

Making the Logo
Once you're done visualizing your company, it's time to make a logo. Keep it simple. The simpler the logo, the more eye catching it will be and easier to place on your prefered warrior.

Making the Banner
Like in feudal times Japan, we see those banners that bear thier family or clan enblems. SDL also have these but bearing the companies' logo's. First, download the banner template.

Once you have downloaded the file, remove the layer with the "place your logo here" and do place your new logo there. You are free to change the color and graphics of the banner part itself. But please do not resize or tamper with the dimensions so that the journal remain clean and neat. Also the very bottom layer must remain untouched so that the blue background matches the journal's as well.

Must have killed at least one Dueler in a match to apply.

Spike is a popular sandal maker with one of the most controversial advertising schemes round the land. This publicity causes Spike to even grow more in popularity and is often the supported by many teen peasants.

And if it meets all these requirements, you will see your team banner posted here
Now it's time to make use of your new team.

Recruiting
You are now free to recruit SDL duelers into your team if they meet your requirements. Members of your team can be duelers created by you or other artists. You do not need to have your own dueler profile to create a team. Any one can make a team. There is a limit of only 5 duelers per team (5 individual SDL profiles. If a profile depicts multiple OCs, the main OC featured in the profile is credited) A dueler can be part of only one team. Trades are also possible.
The creator of the team and banner reserves all the right with the team and how it is to be handled.

BENEFITS
So what do you get for all these trouble? You get to gain new artist friends that are willing to cooperate with you on battles and duels. You get to experience how it is to manage a team as you all together try to take on the challenges of duels and tournaments.
As for members, if a team duels with an SDL dueler or another team and win, all 5 members will be ranked according to their opponents rank even if not all the members contributed in the duel. This gives a chance to those beginning artists a little boost for being friendly and being part of a team. Of course, if the team losses, they all share a loss as well.
