While Kojima is a major contender in The SDL, this is just a cover. Kojima is a cold-blooded killer; it's not really by preference. He'd much rather be sitting in a bath house puffing on his pipe with beautiful women around him or in the Middle of a top rank match. He'd shown a talent for fighting well in his younger days. At the age of 13 he had already killed a few thugs in scuffles over women or gambling and could hold his own in any gambling house in the city. Working as a door man his ability grabbed the attention of a rather prestigious Sword School, the Tetsugomo-Ryu. As a student he excelled above others in his class, once taking on every student in repetition and defeating the entire lower student body in a single session.

Kojima was put into private accelerated sessions to develop his RavensWrath, The 5 Raven Sword style. It became apparent later that the advanced class was little more than a series of trials. Once he had passed he became a teacher and member of inner circle of the school. In reality, the Tetsugomo-Ryu was one of the most capable, powerful, and high-priced interrogation and assassination groups’ money could buy. With Kojima's capability, he swiftly rose through the ranks to become one their best men. He was so good that he was constantly bombarded by contracts. Between his sponsors Solex and Drada and his contracts, Kojima has saved himself quite a Bundle over the past few years. He takes contracts only to afford the lifestyle he'd grown accustomed to, using the only real-world skill he seems to have in abundance. He loves competing in the SDL like a true warrior. One thing is unmistakable though, Whether he's sent in to do a job or getting ready for a match he goes about it with the efficiency of a man possessed, even if his demeanor on the job is as relaxed as it is in his normal life.
